Weekend Trip to Homer, AK

Last weekend Riley and I drove down to Homer which is about a 4 hour drive south of Anchorage. It is a popular fishing town on the beach. We had a great time walking along the beach, checking out the shops on the spit and going out to eat. It felt a little like I was back home in Warrenton. We even got some sun! We just got out of 30 days of rain, and I think we have had almost a whole week of sunshine. It was been wonderful!

Here is a map that shows where Homer is and also where Riley is right now. He left yesterday morning to go Caribou hunting near Prudhoe Bay. It took him about 14 hours to drive across the state. He got there safely and said it was pretty cold up there. He should be home next Wednesday, hopefully with a large Caribou! :) I am looking forward to him being back!
