It's been busy...

I know that we are way overdue for a blog post and I know people have been checking to see what we've been up to. We have a lot of material so hopefully maybe both of us can crank out some blog posts!

Let's head back to spring time...It was an extremely late spring here in Alaska. It snowed all the way into the end of May and it took a long time to warm up. I made a number of day trips and afternoons out bear hunting and saw a number of bears but just couldn't make it all come together. I got to use my new spotting scope a bit and snapped a few photos through it.

So spring bear season didn't really pan out but it got us out of the house and hiking and enjoying the sun.

Here's a huge black bear that we saw up fairly close.

 Here's a brown bear that we watched for a while from a bout a mile away.

And here's a mountain goat we spotted while out and about.
